It was heartening to see the Society for Biomaterials give the important subjects of innovation and DEI collective airtime in the plenary opening session. These topics are foundational and will continue to be transformational for all of us. It was a robust and open discussion which sets the stage for continued attention in future meetings.

I applaud the conference’s commitment to diversity as a driver for innovation in the session topics, presenters, and attendees. I felt inspired, heard, and hopeful for the future of biomaterial innovation.

The SFB Annual Meeting is the place to be for biomaterials scientists from all over the world, a perfect combination of leading edge science and networking with friends and colleagues.

The Biomaterials BASH was a phenomenal event! The Maryland Science Center was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the addition of the water taxi transportation was fun and exciting! What a great way to end an already dynamic meeting.

Attending SFB meetings has been crucial to my research career. I have made powerful networks through SFB and gained leadership skills through my involvement with the organization!

Being able to connect and collaborate with other industry professionals and academics in the biomaterials space provided me the opportunity to participate in stimulating scientific conversations and network with my peers. This is truly the place to further your knowledge and understanding of biomaterials science.
